Warranty

5 years. In writing.

Every renovation we build comes with a written 5-year workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer warranties on your cabinets, fixtures, flooring and other materials.

What’s covered

Our workmanship · 5 years

  • Framing, beams and structural work we installed
  • Shower waterproofing, tile and grout we installed
  • Plumbing and electrical connections we made
  • Drywall cracks and nail pops from how we built it
  • Cabinets, doors and trim that work loose or out of adjustment
  • Flooring installation defects such as lifting or gapping

Not covered

  • Normal wear and tear, and minor settling cracks in an older house
  • Damage from flooding, sewer backup, fire or storms
  • Problems caused by poor maintenance, like a fan that’s never run
  • Changes or repairs made by others
  • Parts of the house we didn’t work on
  • Material defects (covered by the manufacturer’s warranty)

Manufacturer warranties

Your cabinets, fixtures, flooring and membranes carry their own warranties from the maker. We register what can be registered and keep the paperwork on file.

Good to know

Looking after your renovation keeps both warranties valid. You’ll get care notes for every finish at handover.

When does the warranty start?

On the day of your final walkthrough, when we hand over your written warranty, the closed permits and the care notes for your finishes.

Does the warranty transfer if I sell my home?

Yes. The remaining workmanship warranty transfers to the new owner. Many manufacturer warranties transfer too, with some conditions.

What maintenance do I need to do?

Run bathroom fans during and after showers, reseal cement grout and natural stone as recommended, keep indoor humidity in a sensible range in winter, and check caulking around tubs and showers once a year.
